Plot Synopsis
Four graduating High School friends, Julie (Jennifer Love Hewitt), Helen (Sarah Michelle Gellar),
Ray (Freddie Prinze Jr) and Barry (Ryan Phillippe) celebrate their last
4th of July together driving off into the night. They run over a lone traveler who is
standing on the road. Having had some drinks and not wanting to get into trouble they
throw the body into the water where it can be washed away. But the traveler was still
alive, his body flails about before going under.
That should be the end of that. Except for the letters they get the following year which
read I know what you did last summer. There must have been a witness to their
actions.
